Many colleges and universities took the time out this week to bring awareness to their campus for National Eating Disorder Awareness Week but for California State University- Northridge, this is just another week in their yearlong campaign to spread awareness about eating disorders. The university paired with NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association) in 2014 with the campuses civic engagement project “Proud2BMe”. All students involved with the project for class credit is required to dedicate 20 hours during the course of the semester but all students are encouraged to join. This year students had the chance to participate in the “Take A Compliment” campaign where they could take pieces of paper with compliments in them and leave them around campus.
